To be held at the Public Safety Center (PSC) 3300 West Main, Room W150, Artesia, NM 1-4 PM
For the inspection for asbestos containing material (ACM) in Schools and commercial buildings. This three day (24 hour) Course is designed for the initial training of individuals, who desire to be asbestos building inspectors.
The asbestos building inspector training includes:
- Asbestos Characteristics
- Health effects
- Medical Surveillance
- Safety Considerations
- Personal Protection
- OSHA, EPA, State and Local Regulations.
It also includes how to perform asbestos inspections in various buildings including and not limited to public and commercial buildings, homes and schools.
Target Audience
This Asbestos Inspector training course accredits individuals to assess the condition of asbestos material and report the results. Any person who performs the tasks involved in the asbestos survey, identification and assessment of the condition of asbestos and asbestos material, or who is involved in the collection of bulk samples of asbestos material for laboratory analysis, needs this training. This workshop prepares you to immediately apply your knowledge to the field, with extensive hands-on training and real-world examples from experienced instructors.
