HAZWOPER 40 HOUR
DC Environmental is an USEPA external training provider for course 165.5 Hazardous Materials Incident Response Operations and course 165.15 Emergency Response To Hazardous Materials Incidents.
HAZWOPER 40 is required for workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances. OSHA requires that these workers be have 40 hours in the classroom training plus 3 days of documented field experience.
General site workers are those who are generally at the site and whose job responsibilities place them in possible contact hazardous waste above the Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL) established by OSHA. They may wear the various levels of Personal Protective Equipment and engage in activities that are moderately to highly hazardous.
