At DC Environmental, we believe that education is a fundamental pillar for a strong industrial hygiene program. We offer a variety of safety training courses delivered by EPA-accredited trainers and OSHA Outreach Training providers. Our programs are designed to ensure that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to create a safer work environment. From asbestos awareness to hazardous materials management, we provide both classroom and hands-on learning experiences.
Asbestos Awareness
DC Environmental offers comprehensive Asbestos Awareness training for employees and contractors.
This training is fully compliant with the EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act and OSHA standards. We provide courses for different levels, including Awareness, Maintenance Worker, Supervisors, and Workers. Hands-on activities and field trips help students identify and recognize asbestos in real-world settings. This course is recognized by EPA Region 6 and the State of Louisiana, with reciprocity in Arizona and other states.

Hazardous Materials Managers and Supervisors
This training is designed for individuals responsible for hazardous materials programs within a company or as part of an Emergency Response Team.
The course includes topics such as Air Monitoring Procedures, Site Safety and Health Plans, Medical Surveillance Programs, Supervisory Techniques, and Continuity of Operations Planning. Supervisors and managers gain the expertise to effectively lead and manage safety operations in emergency situations.

Hazardous Materials Training
This course trains workers engaged in the identification of spills and handling inadvertent releases.
Workers are taught the Technician Level skills required by the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response regulations. The training covers Toxicology, Hazard Recognition, Decontamination, Incident Response, and Waste Handling. Hands-on activities include the use of Personal Protective Equipment and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus.

Safety and Health Courses
As recognized OSHA Outreach Training providers, DC Environmental offers safety and health courses for both the construction and general industries.
Training certificates are provided in areas such as Scaffold and Ladder Safety, Forklift Operation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fall Protection, Fire Extinguisher Safety, and Respiratory Protection. Site-specific training, including compressed gas cylinder safety and system safety, can also be arranged. We offer both in-person and online learning options.
